About Us

I had my first child and felt firsthand the anxiety of parenthood and questions flooded my mind:    

• Will she be “on track” with developmental milestones?
• Will she have good teachers?
• What will she become when she grows up?
• How do I support her ambitions?

As I reflected on those questions, I thought back to my own childhood and the things my parents did to invest in my future. The moments that stood out as influencing my career and current lifestyle were the summer enrichment programs I participated in as a teenager. At the end of my sophomore year in high school, I attended a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) program and one of the classes was centered on career planning & picking a major. We researched, interviewed professionals, and wrote essays about our intended major. By the end of the summer, I had enough information to declare a college major, write my essays for college applications and identify which schools/colleges I wanted to apply to. I want to offer that same life-transforming process to others out there that may be like I was – full of potential, but unsure what I wanted to be when I grew up and how to get there.

Career planning is a life-long journey. As someone who has changed careers a few times, I also want to help others have the tools if they ever want to pivot careers.
